Power Unit Overhaul

50 / 50 split between combustion and electric power

  • Internal combustion engine output drops to ~400 kW (~540 hp).
  • Electric power (MGU-K) increases to ~350 kW (~470 hp) — nearly 3× today.
  • MGU-H is removed to simplify the package and reduce costs.
  • Manual override mode replaces DRS-style boosts on straights.

Active Aerodynamics

Cars switch between low-drag and high-downforce configurations

  • Both front and rear wings have movable elements.
  • Low-drag 'Z-mode' on straights, high-downforce 'X-mode' in corners.
  • Replaces DRS as the primary overtaking aid.
  • Reduces the dirty-air problem when following another car.

100% Sustainable Fuel

Fully synthetic, drop-in compatible 'e-fuel'

  • Made from non-food bio-sources or captured carbon.
  • Net-zero carbon footprint when combusted.
  • Designed to be transferable to road cars and motorsport globally.
  • Energy-by-mass increases efficiency demands on the ICE.

Lighter, Smaller Chassis

Minimum car weight reduced by 30 kg to 768 kg

  • Wheelbase shortened by ~200 mm and width reduced by 100 mm.
  • Smaller tires (front: 25 mm narrower; rear: 30 mm narrower).
  • Targets more agile, nimbler racing — closer to the early 2000s feel.
  • Stricter crash-structure rules to keep safety standards rising.
